MOAA-GDC awards education scholarships annually to a cadet or midshipman who demonstrates high aptitude and motivation for military leadership while enrolled in a junior ROTC unit within the Association’s geographic area.

Award recipients are selected on the basis of:

  Scholastic Ability
  Military Leadership
  Character
  Aspiration for Military Service

The Fund receives support directly from MOAA-GDC members and from a portion of the proceeds of door prize revenues. Contributors of $100 or more receive special recognition as members of the President’s One Hundred. Donations qualify for the income tax charitable deduction. Cash contributions may be made to the “MOAA-GDC Scholarship Fund” and delivered to the MOAA-GDC Treasurer or to any Scholarship Committee member. To make arrangements for contributions by will, trust, or life insurance, contact the MOAA-GDC Legal Counsel.
